KAIKO

Picture

   Jennet
   Age: c. 26
   Arrival: 2026

Current status: Sanctuary and in training
   RECENT SPONSORS: Terri Yokley
   ASSIGNED VOLUNTEERS:

History: Kaiko is registered as a miniature donkey, but she actually is a small standard donkey, possibly a cross between mini and standard. She is 26 years old and spent most of her life without any equine company. She was not halter trained, never received a vet exam or hoof trim. She was fed alfalfa and alfalfa pellets all her life. Kaiko is here on sanctuary. She will need a lot of tender loving care. She is now gradually getting to know the other donkeys and mules at our facility, and she is getting used to grass hay (she really likes bermuda) and our standard hay pellet/senior mash.

Personality: Kaiko loves being cuddled by humans. She is gentle and currently working to overcome her fears and anxieties. She is interested in the other donkeys and mules, and she is gaining more confidence every day.

Diet: Kaiko gets bermuda hay, a small bowl of mash (soaked hay pellets & senior feed), minerals, and salt. Sponsor Kaiko here!
