MEET OUR CATS AND DOGS!

Below you'll find pictures of our cats and dogs, and we're currently in the process of connecting their stories as well as info about current sponsors and assigned volunteers to each of the pictures. Click on a picture to see if "your equine's" story has already been posted. Click on a button to sponsor a cat or dog! Our sweet pawed residents deserve your love and sponsorship, just like our equines do!

If you sponsor one of our cats or dogs you get digital pictures and quarterly updates about "your" cat's or dog's vet checks, health, social life, treats, food preferences, and other tidbits of his/her daily life. You also earn a free tour of our facility with your sponsorship. The sponsorship is considered a donation and fully tax deductible. You will receive a donor acknowledgment letter from us.

We are in the process of posting and linking our cats' and dogs' individual stories as well as info about vet care, current sponsors etc. to their pics, but it'll take a little while. Come back to click on the pictures from time to time to see whether we've posted the info yet!

OUR CATS

Our ranch is currently home to 8 cats: Prego (at 17 the oldest), Micky (about 8), Maurice (10?), Simba (5), Tommy (5), Tabitha/Tabby (3), Smokey (3), and Oscar (2). All of them used to be feral at some point and would not have survived for long without our intervention. Our cats are spayed and neutered with the exception of Oscar, our latest newcomer, who is currently still in training to become better handleable for his neutering surgery. He spends most of his time here at the farm and still thinks maybe one or the other of our two spayed female kitties here (Tabby or Prego) might be interested in him some day. Our younger cats are still a bit shy around strangers, but any visitor is tolerated around the "seniors": Prego, Micky, and Maurice.

Our cats don't just live a good life here but they also have an important job: They keep the rodent population under control, which also significantly restricts the snake population. Our farm has no rodent problem because of our awesome cats! This is because, unlike at most farms, our cats have more privileges than our dogs with regard to the access they have to buildings and other parts of the property.

OUR DOGS

Our ranch currently is home to four rescue dogs, two of whom are pit bull crosses, one a black lab cross, and one an Australian shepherd/cattle dog cross. At 14 years Jane, one of the pit bull crosses, is the oldest of the four. Elmo is 11, Leo is 9, and Macy is about 3. Our dogs have the important job of alerting us to packages arriving, trash being picked up, and visitors or - God beware - unwanted intruders arriving. Help us take care of Jane, Elmo, Leo or Macy with an annual sponsorship!
