MEET OUR EQUINES!
We are ambitious about providing our resident equines with the best possible life, to keep them safe, and to make sure their needs are met. Our funding is crucial to accomplish this goal. Your sponsorship directly helps us cover veterinary care, medication, feed, and farrier care for our equines.
The majority of our residents are long-eared equines of various kinds. The majority of these are donkeys, but we also currently have five mules, one hinny, and one horse - a gelding named Wyatt. His important role is to tell us which donkeys would make good horse companions. (Unlike many donkeys, most mules love and do well with horses, so if you're looking for a horse companion but do not want to get another horse, try out a mule!)
Our donkeys are of various kinds, backgrounds, and sizes. They currently include one mini gelding (Pablo) and one mammoth gelding (Traveler), both of whom are seniors. Our current herd consists mostly of middle-aged and older animals, many of whom came here to find a safe place for retirement.
Below you'll find pictures of all of our equines, and we're currently in the process of connecting their stories as well as info about current sponsors and assigned volunteers to each of the pictures. Click on a picture to see if "your equine's" story has already been posted. Click on a button to sponsor a donkey, mule, hinny or horse! Our sweet residents deserve your love and sponsorship.
