ROSIE

Picture

   Jennet
   Age: c. 4
   Arrival: April 2024

   Current status: In training
   RECENT SPONSORS:
   ASSIGNED VOLUNTEERS:

History: Rosie and her mother Marian were surrendered by a nice lady from
Mountainair. They first came here for training but stayed for good when their elderly
owner suffered long-term health issues sand eventually passed away. Rosie had been
born on her property a few years earlier and has never experienced any abuse, unlike
her mother, who is the shyer and more evasive one of the pair.  The pair is healthy and
athletic, and they're in training to become available for adoption when they're ready.

Personality: Rosie is sweet and curious, and she is very social with other donkeys as well as with humans. She loves treats and is ready to learn. She is still getting used to being brushed, and she has worn a fly mask and halter. She also picks up her feet, though not for long yet. Rosie is very bonded with her mother, and we will make sure the two can stay together.

Diet: Rosie does very well on a diet of bermuda grass hay and barley straw. Her herd has a salt and trace mineral block and occasionally gets a tub of Equilix minerals. Sponsor Rosie here!
