Our ranch currently is home to four rescue dogs, two of whom are pit bull crosses, one a black lab cross, and one an Australian shepherd/cattle dog cross. At 14 years Jane, one of the pit bull crosses, is the oldest of the four. Elmo is 11, Leo is 9, and Macy is about 3. (The category image shows Ahab, a boxer mix who belonged to a cherished adopter who unexpectedly died. We took him in and found him a great home in the Edgewood area.)
Our dogs have the important job of alerting us to packages arriving, trash being picked up, and visitors or - God beware - unwanted intruders arriving.
